Instant Pot method: Do not soak the split peas.

1. Sautee the beef, split peas, all spices.

2. Once browned, add 1/3 broth and sauce.

3. Set to beef sew- approximately 35 minutes.

Slow Cooker method: Once everything is sautéed, add to the slow cooker and set to low for 6-8 hours.

Quick and tasty. This is actually the recipe that made me realize we can have it all! Good food but easy and quick method!


Ingredients

Scale

1 chopped onion
1/2 of yellow split peas (soaked)
2 lbs of finely diced beef cubes
1/2 a can tomato sauce
2 dry lemons (or 1 tsp dried lemon powder)

1/2 tsp turmeric

1 tsp salt,

1 tsp pepper,

2 tsp cumin

1 tbs allspice,

2 cubes of veggie stock ( or 1/3 cup of liquid veggie stock


Instructions
